A successful Network / Automation Engineer supports and enhances large-scale, enterprise-class networks, driving automation and best practices to deliver high-quality Fiserv services. This role fosters innovation, standardization, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, international environment.
What you will do:
- Design, deliver, and support network infrastructure within an ITIL framework, covering LAN, WAN, and security products.
- Support next-generation data-centre networks and deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions.
- Automate network operations tasks by creating and maintaining tools, scripts, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure smooth roll-outs of new designs and products.
- Help shape the future of automation, challenging and evolving operational methodologies.
- Create, review, and maintain documentation, processes, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Cooperate with customers to implement optimal network solutions and provide 2nd level support.
- Build, configure, and install networking devices; contribute to infrastructure programmability using Python, Ansible, Netbox, and web technologies.
- Implement IPSEC/VPNs and SDWAN networks.
- Maintain and administer WAN for online transaction and report delivery systems; monitor networks and plan capacity.
What you will need to have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in network engineering, network design or architecture
- Experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP, ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, FabricPath.
- Experience with DC Networking technologies.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks daily.
- Experience supporting large scale enterprise networks.
- Strong skills in producing clear, detailed technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with peers and customers.
- Willingness and ability to participate in on-call rotation and occasional short-term business travel.
What would be great to have:
- Experience with Cloud Environments (AWS and AZURE)
- Palo Alto Firewall Management
- Experience with automation and DevNet tools such as Python, Ansible and web technologies (AJAX, Javascript, HTML, Django, Flask).
- Additional scripting skills.
- Experience in international, collaborative environments
