What you will do:
- Review project requirements with a sharp eye to make sure everything’s clear, complete, and ready to be tested.
- Build and run thoughtful tests that match our timelines and help us catch issues early while measuring the quality of our work.
- Help us level up our automation game by designing and adding meaningful automated tests that fit right into our build and deployment flow.
- Keep the team in sync by sharing test progress, results, and insights clearly and consistently with developers, leaders, and product partners.
- Stay on top of your test documentation—updating it as our products evolve and our strategies improve.
- Dig into the details of our payment processing and merchant onboarding workflows until you know them inside and out.
- Make sure what we build really works for the business by testing with a clear understanding of how our applications are meant to perform.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience, including military service.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, including building automation tools and frameworks to support manual testing.
- Proven experience testing web applications integrated with SQL databases, Java-based application servers, queuing service middleware, and internal/external APIs, with a focus on end-to-end validation of business processes.
- Experience in Cucumber, Gherkin, REST API testing, and writing SQL queries.
- Experienced in creating automated tests for web apps with complex business logic.
- Strong Java skills for building and maintaining test automation solutions.
- Confident troubleshooting bugs and writing clear, detailed, and actionable defect reports.
- Familiar with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins and GoCD.
