What does a successful AWS DevOps Engineer do at Fiserv?
As an AWS DevOps Engineer within Fiserv’s Gift Solutions, you will manage operations, automation, and monitoring of large-scale applications on AWS and in-house infrastructure. You will work closely with Solution Architects and collaborate effectively on complex projects both independently and within a team. What you will do:
- Manage operations of large-scale, high-frequency, low-latency applications on AWS and in-house.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, automating the build and deployment processes.
- Build automation and monitoring solutions.
- Design, develop, and operate automation requirements and workflows to support the develop/test/deploy process.
- Monitor infrastructure resources and processes during the entire lifecycle.
- Collaborate with software development teams to iterate CI/CD improvements and ensure efficiency, quality, and resiliency.
- Integrate security measures, code quality checks, unit tests, and other guidelines with CI/CD processes.
- Design automated solutions to transition technologies into a continuous integration and delivery model.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and best practices.
- Identify manual processes and design and implement automation solutions using cloud-native services and processes.
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer in cloud-based technologies such as AWS or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with repository management tools like Git or equivalent and CI/CD pipelines.
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
- 5+ years of experience using scripting languages such as Python, BASH, and PowerShell.
- Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience with Splunk, Bitbucket, Dynatrace, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience in Agile software product development lifecycles such as Scrum, Kanban.
- Experience with security implementations such as Sonatype, Web Inspect, Fortify.
