The Boeing Company is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer (Operations/Electrical) to join our team in Edwards AFB, CA.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced, or Senior Test & Evaluation Engineers (Operations/Electrical).
Position Responsibilities:
Perform on-aircraft electrical system troubleshooting and support
Interface with the Air Force on a daily basis to ensure streamline communication and strong relationship ties
Participate in daily and weekly test status meetings, providing electrical system updates and technical recommendations
Assist in system planning to ensure adequate support for modification, testing, and troubleshooting activities
Develop and review electrical system schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
Provide technical support for system integration and interface verification
Organize and facilitate working groups to resolve electrical system issues and align cross-functional teams
Participate in pre- and post-flight briefings to coordinate and document electrical-related findings and actions
Coordinate with engineering teams and test conductors to validate system readiness and interface functionality
Assist in real-time troubleshooting and power-on testing of electrical systems
Support planning efforts for upcoming modification or test campaigns, including labor estimates and resource needs
Ensure proper documentation, tagging, and configuration control of electrical system changes
Review and coordinate approvals of engineering changes, drawings, and electrical installation documents
Maintain data for fault analysis
Collaborate with design engineers, technicians, and test teams on system integration and test preparation
Support incident investigations and root cause analyses related to electrical system performance
Build and maintain strong working relationships across engineering, maintenance, and flight test operations
Adapt to dynamic test schedules, system issues, and evolving program priorities
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
Experience in transducer selection and installation including accelerometers, thermocouples strain gages, pressure transducers, and flow meters
Familiar with ARINC 429 and 1553 buses

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Associate Level (Level 2): $85,850 – $116,150
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $102,000 – $138,000
Summary Pay Range for Senior Level (Level 4): $121,550 – $164,450
