What does a successful Application Support – Specialist/Tech Lead - do?
The role involves deploying, upgrading, and migrating critical applications, along with providing technical support for flagship products. Key responsibilities include - Incident Management, System Monitoring, Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Documentation
What will you do:
- Deployment/Upgrade/Migration: Doing deployment/upgrade/Migration of critical application and providing technical support for flagship application/products, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
- Incident Management: Manage and resolve incidents related to the applications developed in .Net & Java, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders
- System Monitoring: Monitor application performance and system health to ensure optimal functionality. Working on Monitoring the application, Changes, deployments and Incidents.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, collaborating with development teams as needed.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including post patching validations, certificate renewals.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures and system configurations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals to improve application performance and implement system enhancements.
What you will need to have:
- Experience developing and/or supporting n-tier architecture, large-scale multi-tier web applications and environments and strong troubleshooting and debugging skills at all tiers
- Solid application development and troubleshooting on .NET Framework using C#, ASP.NET, Java and other web technologies and knowledge of Webservices like SOAP and REST
- Experience with Service Now for Incident, Case, Problem and Change Management
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, PCF and exposure to use of other Microsoft windows Diagnostic tools and applications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system (Windows 2003/ 2008/2012), Linux OS, IIS web server applications and familiarity or knowledge of common networking practices, and client/server applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team and other internal stakeholders and to work under pressure to complete tasks on schedule and with high quality.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours as part of 15X7 team and weekends
