Tech Lead, Application SupportWhat does a great System Engineer AppOps do at Fiserv?
System Engineer works on L2/L3 Support on hosted application in Production environments. The application hosted on Linux platform with WebLogic Middleware He / She is also responsible to maintain the stability of the application. Need to participate Quarterly release activities and Monthly Patching activities. Closely worth with various stack holder during the Incident Bridge to resolve the issue.
What you will do:
- Maintain & Mange the Application hosted on Linux / WebLogic.
- Manage stability of environment in the UPPER regions, close to 12 environments in Linux.
- Perform Health checks and monitoring the environments.
- Troubleshoot environment and application issues which reported by client or through the monitoring alerts.
- Deploying the Fiserv’s Enterprise wide J2EE applications in our production environments running WebLogic application servers on Red Hat Linux systems with Oracle 19c on Quarterly release.
- Troubleshooting any application issue reported by clients and should possess good communication skills.
- Support the application hosted on Cloud.
- Writing scripts using Shell scripting or Perl/Python to help in our regular activities like Application Deployment, Middleware upgrade or monitoring.
- 12/7 on call and weekend support for production on rotation basis.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor in engineering (Computer Science, or applicable work experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in Application Support that includes Linux and WebLogic Support.
- Strong Skill set in Linux / WebLogic
- Splunk ,MoogSoft and Dynatrace monitoring tools would be an added advantage.
- 2 or more years’ experience in configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise applications in a networked environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues.
- Experience working with PRODUCTUON Environment.
What would be nice to have
- Good Exposure towards Load Balancer and Networking knowledge.
- Automation experience in Ansible, run deck and Python.
- More than 2-year experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL server.
- Good working knowledge on SSL certificates.
