What does a great “Data Center Operations Team, Professional” do?
The selected candidate will be part of 24/7 team where the primary job is to constantly monitor the production platform (application and server) and address incidents which include alerts related to Batch Job’s, servers, Applications etc. Monitor all activities related to analysis and implement all data center plans. This role would require interacting with US counterparts and teams operating in the Datacenter along with external vendors.
What will you do:
Responsible for resolving production incidents by analyzing the issues and coordinating with necessary parties, consistently taking ownership and leading the situation.
Monitoring and Observability Alerts (Splunk, Dynatrace, Automic, Batch scheduler)
Will be part of L1 and L2 team, Isolate and escalate alerts to support teams on application and datacenter related issues.
Work with Application/systems Analyst on production issues/outages in Datacenter.
Follow the data center policies and ensure adherence to corporate IT and compliance standards
Maintain a working knowledge of how various applications operate, how they interact with one another, skills to identify production errors and familiarity of the organization to contact the appropriate individual to correct issues.
Diagnose and respond to customer support service call requests.
Perform advanced research to resolve production-related incidents.
Review service and performance compliance to documented standards.
Escalate, track and follow-up on issue resolution.
Provide day-to-day support for Datacenter operations.
Identify repetitive tasks and look for automation opportunities.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
Overall 8-10 years of experience.
Working experience on Monitoring and alerting tools – Splunk, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, Automic
Experience of ticketing tools like Service Now etc. for incident documentation.
Deep knowledge of windows 2012, 2019 based servers
Have strong written communication skills to complete Incident Reports to fully describe issues and resolutions.
Experienced in completing tasks(timebound) within stringent SLAs
Documents problems and corrective procedures. Ability to recommend and implement process improvements.
Experience working in the financial industry would be a benefit.
Automation and scripting proficiency (scheduled jobs, Splunk, Python, Selenium)
Flexible to work in shift or weekend on business demand.
Experience in Site Reliability
