What does a successful Senior Technical Project Manager do at Fiserv?
You will have the opportunity to partner with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful start-up and completion of each project that may span across multiple business units or functional areas. You will work to plan, coordinate, and monitor larger scale scope & budget projects with a high degree of complexity and risk.
What you will do:
- Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful project delivery
- Provide a complete view of the overall project to the organization and all stakeholders
- Exhibit proactive behavior by engaging in all project planning activities
- Define project governance outlining roles and responsibilities and decision rights
- Ensure success criteria defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes
- Keep internal and external stakeholders engaged in the project, aligned on expected outcomes, and informed about what is occurring throughout the project
- Proactively communicate the project’s progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle
- Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of previous project management and/or relevant consulting experience
- 6+ years of experience in driving large scale change efforts with demonstrated knowledge in project management processes and methodologies
- 5+ years of experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams
- 5+ years of experience influencing and stakeholders, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and customers across Fiserv to maximize program effectiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries
- Familiarity with project management tools
- Ability to practically apply project management concepts to facilitate the achievement of business objectives ensuring predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery
- Experience delivering projects related to enterprise level cyber security
