About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in Merchant Services Operations as part of Consumer Lending. In this position you will be keying additional locations for existing merchants, keying new locations and account information for new merchants in systems and uploading new locations using a manual batch account maintenance process . You will be able to use your expertise in payments, merchant processing and customer solutions to partner with Account Managers and others to ensure our merchants are ready to process transactions.
In this role, you will:- Participate in moderately complex support services in account management, operations, documentation, and customer service
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the merchant services onboarding area
- Review basic or tactical routine system rejects or challenges that require research and evaluation, applications or services, product conversions, and new product development
- Present recommendations for resolving moderate to complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of internal customer needs
- Self-manage and prioritize a large queue of items assigned that are in a variety of stages to insure both cycle times and merchant expectations are met
Required Qualifications, US:- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service, Financial Services or Contact Center, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Merchant Services experience
- Solid grasp of KYC regulations and challenges
- Payments Onboarding/Additional Location/Accounts Management experience
- Knowledge and understanding of back-office support in the financial industry
- Experience managing a pipeline of work from assignment to completion
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgement to identify and resolve problems
- Ability to process complex transactions and perform extensive research to resolve complex customer issues
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy with a sense of urgency
- Experience navigating through ambiguity
- Ability to effectively listen and elicit information
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
