Develop and maintain software applications using Python, Java, J2EE, Groovy on Grails, PHP, and JavaScript.
Provide in-person support to language officers and non-language skilled users at multiple customer sites.
Conduct training sessions on Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools.
Develop plugins and scripts to enhance machine translation capabilities within CAT tools.
Troubleshoot and provide support for various translation tools including OmegaT, Olifant, and LFAligner.
Align source and translation files, create glossaries, and manage translation memories.
Present technology updates and training sessions to various stakeholders.
Support the transition of servers to cloud hosting environments to improve scalability and uptime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop architecture designs.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with polygraph required to start
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development
Minimum of 5 years of experience in localization engineering
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, J2EE, Groovy on Grails, PHP, and JavaScript
Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and other development tools
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including AWS and on-prem cloud environments
Proven track record of providing technical support and training to language officers
Experience with cloud hosting environments and transitioning servers to AWS
Familiarity with CAT and OCR tools and their application in language technology
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty
