Job Description
The Branch & Small Business Regional Executive reports directly to the Head of Branch Banking and is responsible for the overall leadership of consumer and small business banking, including traditional, in-store, on-site, and advisory center locations for the California region. This individual is responsible for operationalizing the growth strategies for their assigned region, effectively collaborating with peer leaders across the organization to achieve our goal of increasing the number of customers to whom we are central, enhancing digital adoption across the customer base and achieving assigned financial targets through the overall growth of market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operationalize business growth strategies to achieve assigned financial targets and region growth goals.
- Analyze sales performance and net flows metrics to determine areas of need and follow up with targeted solutions.
- Oversee allocation of people and financial resources for purposeful business strategy.
- Enable and inspire leaders to the highest standards of execution, driving consistency, problem solving and sound decision making while setting a clear team vision.
- Actively lead individual direct reports to optimal performance through a commitment to strong coaching routines and excellent coaching techniques; provide direct feedback to leaders while holding them accountable to business targets and people-leader goals.
- Promote a culture of ongoing feedback, performance and development discussions and drive excellence in performance coaching among leaders.
- Build strong, effective partnerships with colleagues across the enterprise to work together and collaboratively remove roadblocks for success.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, retail, or related customer-centric industry
- 10+ years of proven leadership experience building, motivating, and coaching a successful team of sales leaders
- 10+ years of strategic planning and effective execution
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be present in the region and engaging with employees and customers on a regular basis.
- Must be actively engaged in the community through participation in civic and/or charitable organizations, community development projects or initiatives.
PREFERRED
- Previous experience driving a culture of excellence.
- Proven success leading a multi-unit, customer-centered retail organization.
- Deep knowledge of the California Region as well as business, cultural, historical and technical insights.
- Adept at communicating with a wide variety of people (internally and externally) from top executives to peers in other LOBs to entry level EEs, customers, community leader.
- Successfully created and executed a region or market strategy.
- Led people leaders for 10+ years.
- Drives initiatives to all levels of the region or market through customized messaging that leads to increased focus and production and engages/collaborates effectively with partners and other LOB.
- Managed multiple functions within the LOB (ex. Business Banking, Retail, Operations).

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $346,290.00 - $407,400.00 - $448,140.00
