QA/QC Manager
QA/QC Project Quality Manager responsible for EPCm Quality Assurance activities for KBR Majnoon Project. The Project Quality Manager has accountability for quality on the project. Is responsible for providing assurance that the project quality management system will be in place and effective.
Reports to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager, the Project Director and interfaces with project discipline managers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Regular visits to Iraq Site to check compliance and monitor QA/QC performance of the KBR Team and Contractors.
Manage the delivery of quality objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
Implementation of a Project Quality Management System (PQMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and contract requirements.
Preparation and implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
Leads the implementation of the project quality requirements in accordance with the PQP and contract.
Ensure all project team members at all locations are aware of the PQP and meet its requirements.
Implement and manage the audit program to monitor adherence and identify improvement to the PQMS, to include supplier and subcontractors’ audits as required.
Monitor and independently report to the Project Manager on the effectiveness of the PQMS.
Identify and resolve deviations from project requirements and ensure that systems and procedures are established to avoid recurrence.
Monitor the application and effectiveness of the PQMS and provide recommendations for the management review.
Establish and report on project quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Manage the project quality induction program.
Participates in the development of the quality strategy.
Depending on scope:
Preparation of QA/QC inputs to the RFQs and POs
Managing the Quality input to pre-PO award bid review and clarification activities.
Managing the Quality input to Supplier documentation review activities.
Facilitate the completion of criticality ratings.
Liaison with systems and fabrication quality manager and subcontractor quality manager
Review supplier and subcontractor quality plans and ITPs (as required)
Skills and experience:
Minimum 15 years’ QA/QC Management experience within the oil and gas industry
Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
Must be proactive and possess good inter personnel skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficient in English language
