About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic
Lead Business Execution Consultant to join its Wires processing team within the Payments Transformation line of business.
This candidate will be responsible for strategy, road-mapping, and coordination and implementation of production and complex and transformational work including liaising with Payments Operations, Technology, Product Management, the Line of Business, Senior Leadership, Production Support, Change and Incident Management and other stakeholders.

Within Payments Transformation, this team offers centralized project testing and support for Payments Operations. We strive to ensure the success of production teams in Payments by supporting various activities that include but are not limited to projects & initiatives impacting people, process, or system changes through rigorous planning, execution, governance, testing, and implementation support. Additionally, the BIT team will provide problem resolution guidance, evaluate Robotic Process Automation (RPA) opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve processes and create efficiencies for Payments.
In this role, you will:- Be responsible for strategy, road-mapping, and coordination and implementation of complex and transformational work including liaising with Payments Operations, Technology, Product Management, the Line of Business, Senior Leadership, Production Support, Change and Incident Management and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to partners inside and outside of Payments Operations, including project leadership teams and various senior-level stakeholders.
- Partner with the Line of Business, Risk/Compliance, and technology partners across Operations to create and execute initiatives that align with business goals, including driving continuous process improvements that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our operation. The operational responsibilities of this role require skill and experience in working with teams with complex technical functions, performing at expected levels and meeting internal and external service commitments. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, collaboration, partnering and communication skills.
- Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause analysis and validation of all compliance and business metrics
- Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work
- Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations
- Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables
- Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business
- Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business
- Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management
- Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Experience with ISO20022
- Experience with International Banking and knowledge of correspondent banking/US Dollar clearing payments
- Understanding of global payment processing including SWIFT and local clearing (Fedwire and CHIPS) networks
- 2+ years of project management experience, including Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Experience in writing user stories and business requirements for projects
- JIRA experience
- Strong experience in business analysis and root cause analysis, to determine process improvements, business solutions, technical solutions, policy changes, and the like
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
- Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations to management and senior leadership
- Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives
- Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service men and women.
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Job Expectations:- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
