About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst to be a part of The Regulatory Interpretations Team (RIT) that serves the first line of defense providing policy determinations on regulatory reporting and regulatory capital issues. The team supports activities performed by stakeholders across the enterprise to comply with reporting requirements, optimize regulatory capital outcomes in a manner consistent with prevailing frameworks, and advocate on related rulemaking proposals.
In this role, you will:- Evaluate and interpret current and proposed regulations and reporting requirements.
- Actively participate in the implementation of complex regulatory capital and reporting projects or managing aspects thereof, including, participating in or managing cross-functional teams and managing Company-wide task forces.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and communicate regulatory capital policies, practices and procedures, including recommending changes thereto based on changes in regulatory guidance.
- Serve as liaison for regulatory capital and reporting issues with both internal and external audit staffs, and banking regulators.
- Interact with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry forums.
- Provide subject matter expertise in developing employee training on topics related to areas of coverage.
- Provide technical transaction advisory assistance to business lines, cross-functional teams and other personnel related to current and/ or complex regulatory capital and reporting issues.
- Assist teams in managing change associated with the regulatory proposal of new/revised rules and assist in addressing comments to the Federal Reserve Board (FRB).
Required Qualifications, US:- 5+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:- A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.
- Prior experience in bank regulatory supervision (Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC) or public accounting.
- Experience with the Y-14 data collection among other regulatory reports.
- Knowledge and understanding of bank capital requirements - Dodd Frank, Basel II, III.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Ability to prepare and present senior level communications.
