Senior Cloud Database Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Database Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing data infrastructure, leading the development of robust database designs, and ensuring compatibility and interoperability among various data sources and systems. Offer is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Manage Data Infrastructure: Develop and maintain the data infrastructure to support business needs, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Lead Database Design: Lead the development of robust database designs to facilitate efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Ensure Compatibility and Interoperability: Ensure compatibility and interoperability among various data sources and systems, integrating data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive insights.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Data Security: Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless data integration and support business objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, configurations, and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Certification: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud database management and design.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.

Candidates must have strong technical abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a teamwork emphasis.
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hire to obtain a badge for facility access and user accounts.
