Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor is responsible for overseeing the custodial team and ensuring that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role includes hands-on cleaning duties, supervision of janitorial staff, scheduling, and coordination with facility management to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial staff.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
- Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Train new custodial staff and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and checklists.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations promptly and effectively.
Qualifications - Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications - Customer Service Experience
