About your role:
In this development and training position, you will work with existing sales personnel in both training and partnership capacities, aiding in the development of prospects and executing various Fiserv sales engagements. This role also offers the opportunity for managing a limited sales territory and working directly with Sales Management to navigate within Fiserv and execute sales engagements. The ultimate goal of this position is to develop into a full Sales Executive within Fiserv.
What you'll do:
- Cultivate relevant markets by developing and maintaining industry and product knowledge, understanding customers’ needs and concerns, participating in trade organizations, and promoting a positive company image.
- Identify and develop prospective clients through proactive contacts and various prospect development techniques, assisting Sales Executives in a learning capacity.
- Meet or exceed corporate and regional sales goals, such as activity levels, engagements, and closed sales.
- Work effectively with Sales Management, Sales Executives, sales support, marketing, and other entities within Fiserv as directed by management.
- Contact bank prospects through phone calls, email, mailings, and seminars to communicate software product and service offerings.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales team members to communicate new programs and campaigns.
- Assist in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients and support the sales team in client presentations.
- Develop strong prospecting skills to secure new clients and enhance selling skills and processes in preparation for territory assignment.

Experience you'll need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in selling to banking institutions.
- 8+ years of experience in proactively identifying and developing prospective clients.
- 8+ years of experience in effective client presentations and proposal development.
- 8+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience using sales and negotiating techniques effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Thorough understanding of the banking organization and environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications and group presentation skills.
- Ability to organize activities and handle multiple projects concurrently.
Travel:
- Approximately 40% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
