What does a successful Systems Engineering Director do at Fiserv?
In this role, you will oversee the department responsible for planning and engineering an organization's systems infrastructure, ensuring projects and contracts meet requirements. What you will do:
- Direct and mentors a team of systems engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Develop long-range plans, strategies, and performance metrics for the systems engineering function.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and integration of systems, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
- Provide technical guidance, ensure adherence to best practices, and implement new approaches to system design and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineering departments and business units, to align system solutions with organizational objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to security, data protection, and industry best practices.
What you will need to have:
- 10+ years of experience providing efficient and effective enterprise deployment of infrastructure components.
- 7+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to system performance.
- 7+ years of experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders.
- 7+ years of experience evaluating and selecting vendors for system components and services.
- 7+ years of developing and managing budgets for the systems engineering department and allocating resources effectively.
