Job Description Summary
The applied Instrumentation Design team designs instrumentation 3D models, drawings and applications for several types of sensors on development prototype engines.In this role you will collaborate with hardware owners, project engineers, and our instrumentation application laboratory technicians.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services.
- Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
- Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
- Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status, and research.
- Use engineering principles to design application of temperature, pressure, and strain sensors on development engines.
- Collaborate with hardware owners, instrumentation requestors, project engineers, team members, and the Instrumentation Application Shop to complete design and applications.
- Support engine assembly, ensuring safety of instrumentation leads.
- Present work in design knowledge sharing meetings.
- Estimate and track project dates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Some minimum knowledge of instrumentation technologies.
