Job Description

What you'll do:

Our Branch Banking Student Interns are the faces of U.S. Bank to many of our customers and non-customers alike. In this two-semester part-time role, our Interns help customers meet their financial goals by handling routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, merchant transactions, etc.) and giving a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the branch. They inform customers of other products and services that meet their needs.

As an intern, you'll:
- get hands-on experience solving business needs,
- support communities where we live and work,
- interact with leadership,
- be provided mentorship opportunities,,
- attend social and professional development events,
- learn how to work as part a team,
- develop business acumen
- and more.

May perform simple, routine and/or repetitive clerical functions according to standard procedures or instructions. May respond to routine customer inquiries. Answers incoming telephone calls and either answers routine questions or directs the caller to the appropriate resource. May perform other clerical duties as directed. Involvement in community events, engagement opportunities, and outreach for select events may also occur, including on weekends.

Basic qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Currently enrolled in a Business Class

- Current Laney College or Peralta Community College District student

- Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA throughout the program


Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Good knowledge of general office procedures

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting
- Strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Thorough knowledge of personal computers and other office equipment

- Ability to collect and organize information

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.39 - $23.53
