ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Electrical Engineer III to join our team in
Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Altium)
- Select appropriate electrical components and materials based on project requirements and specifications
- Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure system performance and safety
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate the functionality and reliability of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during development, testing, and production phases
- Collaborate effectively with mechanical, software, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems
- Document design specifications, test results, and other technical information accurately and comprehensively
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards in electrical engineering
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for design processes and methodologies
- Potentially mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians
- Lead and manage the electrical design and development of new and existing products, systems, and components
- Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts
- Design and implement embedded systems, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and electronic issues
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and presentations
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior electrical engineers
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent education and years of experience in lieu of Electrical Engineering degree
- 12+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design and development
- Experience and understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, power systems, and control systems
- Experience with [mention specific areas of expertise relevant to the role, e.g., analog/digital circuit design, embedded systems, power electronics, instrumentation, communication protocols]
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., UL, IEC, IEEE)
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad)
- Experience with embedded systems design and development, including microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC)
- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex systems
- Experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience supporting government programs
- Proficiency in using electrical CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, Fusion 360, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN Software, and ETAP). Experience with IT systems and cloud-based technologies.
- Experience with power electronics design (e.g., DC-DC converters, power supplies) .
Clearance Requirements
- Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
