Boeing Test & Evaluation is looking for a Vertical Lift Chief Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Ridley Park, PA or Mesa, AZ. This position will support attack and cargo / utilities programs to include Aurora, Wisk and Advanced Vertical lift programs. The candidate will be capable of creating a Mater Test Strategy for a project or Program.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops proposals / estimates / ROMs for new and existing tests
Identify Test Strategies, Architecture, Approach and Methods utilizing innovative solutions to keep programs successful and affordable
Identify key Test types and events, locations etc
Escalate issues, opportunities and concerns
Understand RAA of BT&E Capabilities/Functional groups, gate criteria
Collaborate with engineering functions
Understand Test Process, Gate Criteria, SMS, FTMARR
Understanding of Boeing Vertical Lift Platforms, especially H-47 and AH-64 flight mechanics - control strategy, power delivery, Aerodynamic and Inertial sources of forces on aircraft and key structure. Ability to demonstrate Boeing Product knowledge (AH-64 and H-47 and other) - aircraft parameters ( Weights, Power, Speed, Range), key suppliers, product costs and lead times
Knowledge of the developmental pedigree (Model maturation) and historical testing approaches of key subsystems of one or both H-47, and AH-64: Airframe, Rotors, Controls, Avionics, and Key Subsystems (e.g., Electrical, Fuel, Hydraulics)
Understanding of the physical plant layout, capabilities and limits of Mesa and/or PHL Test Facilities- Simulation Lab(s), Structural Lab(s), Transmission Lab(s), Delivery Center and Hangers
The ability to explain historical cost drivers, especially testing cost drivers on Vertical Lift platforms
Understanding US DoD Acquisition and Airworthiness Processes and Organizations, especially US Army processes
Experience working on a new business proposal or capture team while attending or preparing for Enterprise Gate Reviews, and/or BT&E TED reviews
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
10+ years of experience with rotorcraft / vertical lift platforms
Typically, 14+ years’ experience in related engineering fields
5+ years in a lead position
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 6: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
15+ years’ experience with rotorcraft / vertical lift platform
5+ years of test related experience
5+ years with lead experience

Summary Pay Range for Lead Level (Level 5): $136,000 – $196,650
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 6): $167,450 – $242,650
