Description:What You Will Be Doing:
This position is part of the F-16 Modifications, Upgrades and Overhaul team. Responsible for supporting F-16 worldwide operations and complex modifications to the over 26 different domestic and international customers. Must be able to support extended international deployments.
The candidate will analyze Engineering retrofit design and Air Force Technical Order data in conjunction with other Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero) computer systems to translate drawings into specification compliant Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and modification kits. Development of modification task analysis on retrofit proposals, develop initial retrofit plans to identify required TCTOs, kits, level of accomplishment, modification man-hours, out of service time, modification location, modification installation tooling, consumable material requirements, operational checkout requirements and develop plans for rate installation of the mods. Perform preparation activities for initial aircraft development installations, provide technical support to the customer for the accomplishment of their first article installation and in some cases, initial support for rate installations of the modification. Responsible to define, schedule, status, track and manage assigned TCTO implementation plans.
May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications. Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts, and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Position may require domestic or international trips.

Basic Qualifications:
•Previous aircraft maintenance experience with basic US Military Aviation Maintenance principles (i.e. hands on experience with aircraft, performing maintenance actions)
• Ability to interpret and execute policies and procedures that typically affect aircraft maintenance activities
• Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• F-16 or other military aircraft experience
• Experience in Aircraft structural maintenance and modification
• Above average analytical skills
• Above average communication skills and be able to operate with minimum direction and supervision
• Microsoft Office with emphasis on Visual Basic Application (VBA)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
