What does a successful Director of Process Engineering do?
As the Director of Process Engineering at Fiserv, you will take the lead in implementing and optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring they are at the forefront of efficiency and innovation. You will develop new methods, systems, and controls that enhance productivity and profitability. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding junior team members and ensuring all processes comply with safety and quality standards. You will drive our mission to empower clients by making financial services more efficient and secure.
What you will do:
- Spearhead the implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes for increased profitability.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to junior team members.
- Conduct detailed hardware design and implement data acquisition and control systems.
- Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
- Meet with production managers to evaluate existing processes and develop cost-saving strategies.
- Perform risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies and identify resources for project execution.
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in optimizing industrial processes in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience providing guidance and technical assistance to team members.
- 8+ years of experience in detailed hardware design and data acquisition system implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience, and Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- 8+ years of experience performing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
What would be great to have:
- 8+ years of experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.
- 8+ years of experience in developing business cases to justify process improvements.
- 8+ years of experience applying the DMAIC process and developing value stream maps.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Power BI Apps.
