What does a successful Director of Quality do?
As the Director of Quality at Fiserv, you will spearhead and oversee the entire quality organization, setting ambitious goals, establishing product roadmaps, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will coordinate staff, build positive relationships with business partners, and resolve issues promptly and efficiently. Your leadership will ensure our quality standards are consistently implemented across multiple locations, driving continuous improvement and excellence in all our processes and products.
What you will do:
- Support the Quality organization across multiple locations, including quality managers, inspectors, technical writers, and business trainers.
- Assure quality standards are established, implemented, and sustained across all locations.
- Lead projects to develop consistent business, operating, and quality standards.
- Support all third-party, internal, and client audits.
- Maintain compliance with industry and postal standards, and sustain an ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System.
- Develop and maintain workflows, processes, and product standards, including process maps and/or value stream maps.
- Support product validation pre-production and during production, verifying standards for the inspection of raw materials, components, and final products.
- Ensure the proper use of tools, materials, and procedures.
- Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying relevant statistical methods.
- Perform capability studies on new jobs and in necessary situations.
- Participate in and perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) per plan.
- Drive continuous improvement utilizing lean and six sigma methodologies.
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance and engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- 8+ years of experience in statistical analysis and process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Engineering and/or equivalent military experience, and Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- 8+ years of experience supporting audits and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
What would be great to have:
- 8+ years of experience creating business cases with return on investment.
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Power BI Apps.
- 8+ years of experience in root cause analysis, disciplined problem-solving, and decision-making processes.
- Experience working with leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and personal development skills.
