About your role:
You will be a technology professional, adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will not only work on production support activities like incidents, change, problem management but also on certification support for multiple clients and monthly patching for production environments. As a part of your production support activities, you will be on call after office hours and work on weekends/holidays as needed. You will create production run books, maintain change registers, and perform impact analysis for production issues worked upon.
What you'll do:
- Drive production management activities such as incident change and problem management as well as lead various teams for metrics-based tracking, planning, risk & mitigation, and certification support for multiple top clients
- Implement plan reviews, change approvals in the interest of change success and hygiene along with improving resiliency and availability for your platforms
- Manage multiple production assurance teams and own production run books, change registers, automations, improvements, and perform impact/root cause analysis for production issues
- Serve as the technical mentor and lead to other team members
Experience you'll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in Unix, Oracle, Windows, scheduling tools and Java.
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle, MS SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience in Apache, Web Sphere Application Server (Traditional, Liberty), Web Logic, Tomcat, Java, J2EE, ASP.Net, JBoss, Liberty, IBM HTTP Server, Microsoft IIS, Open shift, PCF, Azure.
- 5+ years of experience in production management, application/platform monitoring, on call schedule.
- 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace and Moog Soft.
- Direct experience with incident/change/problem management and ticketing tools like Service Now, Remedy, CA Service Desk.
- Proficient in versioning control tools like MS Visual Source Safe (VSS), Git, and Bitbucket.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices
- Experience with automation and scripting languages
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills
- Experience and desire to work in a Global Delivery environment
