Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
The Role
Recognized technical leader collaborating with propulsion, structures, and thermal teams to develop innovative, efficient mounting solutions. Architect of propulsion and compressor isolation systems designed to optimize enterprise-wide performance.
Drive advancement in NVH and CAE methodologies, staying current with industry trends. Represent GM in industry and supplier forums, and mentor advanced design release engineers from concept through virtual validation.
Possess deep knowledge of competitive designs and their integration trade-offs. Partner with industry experts to ensure GM leads in cost-effective, lightweight, high-performance technologies.
Excel in navigating ambiguity and delivering results. Lead cross-functional projects from concept to implementation, championing new technology integration. Collaborate with Engineering Technical Leaders to enhance strategies and processes that elevate organizational capability.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Lead the development of propulsion and electric compressor mounting systems, serving as the primary integration point across propulsion, structures, mounting, safety, CAE, and NVH teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Architect mounting solutions for ICE, EV, and fuel cell systems across new vehicle and propulsion platforms.

Drive enterprise-level performance and imperative studies.

Mentor advanced design release engineers to support technical growth.

Collaborate with CAE and NVH teams to advance virtual development and validation capabilities in line with GM’s vision.

Engage with industry leaders to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies.

Lead the integration of advanced mounting technologies into new vehicle programs.

Guide cross-functional and cross-cultural teams without direct authority.

Support the development and maintenance of GM’s isolation system methodologies and tools.
