Boeing Space Mission Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Antenna Systems Engineer (Lead, Senior or Expert) to join the Satellite team in El Segundo, CA.

Are you passionate about designing and developing cutting-edge satellite antenna and payload systems? Then you might be the perfect candidate! As an Antenna Systems Engineer, you will work on satellite antenna/payload products and capabilities that help our customers to meet their mission requirements.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of space programs and missions. As an Antenna Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of spacecraft antenna requirements, design, manufacture, assembly, test, and verification. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of product and systems principles related to work on spacecraft antenna/arrays. You will also have the opportunity to actively identify strategic design solutions and champion trade studies, and formulate solutions for various mission systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces

  • Directs research, development, integration, and review of complex antenna system designs and processes by working with multiple internal and external engineering disciplines to meet optimal antenna and electromagnetic system performance requirements by creating innovative processes, procedures, and requirements

  • Researches innovative solutions for complex issues and develops analysis tools and methods to resolve those issues

  • Creates innovative processes and major initiatives to improve technical management, schedule, and cost performance

  • Foresees and identifies requirements for emerging technologies.

  • Creates, allocates, and verifies detailed, complex or unique requirements at system and sub-tier levels, including suppliers.

  • Develops architecture and requirement allocation by applying knowledge of systems and components performance to establish design objectives

  • Researches innovative solutions for complex issues and develops measurement tools and methodologies to resolve those issues

  • Directs integration and interpretation of results from internal and external sources for use by multiple stakeholders including other functional areas and external customers and suppliers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance with an adjudicated Polygraph Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 8+ years of experience in the design or development of payload and/or phased array antennas

  • 8+years of experience with space-based product

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in leading projects and/or teams

  • Experience in building, developing and maintaining customer relationships

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range:

Level 4; Lead: $128,350 - $173,650

Level 5; Senior: $157,250 - $212,750

Level 6; Expert: $186,150 - $251,850

Security Clearance
