Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Construction Lead to oversee and manage our Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes from project kick-off to closeout. The ideal candidate will ensure all BIM deliverables are met according to project schedules, budgets, and scopes, while maintaining clear communication across the entire project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage VC Modelers, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.
- Perform 4D virtual building analysis and document collision detection on virtual building models.
- Coordinate 3D content modeled by others and model any required content not provided.
- Perform material quantity take-offs for conceptual estimating purposes.
- Manage model changes through design updates and as-built conditions.
- Collaborate with schedulers, project managers, superintendents, and field management.
- Maintain clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers to ensure project timelines are met.
- Assist marketing personnel with materials for presentations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two-year degree in architecture, construction sciences, or a related field.
- Two years of experience on commercial projects preferred.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Autodesk Design Review, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous exposure to Autodesk Revit MEP, Revit Structure, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, and Tekla BIMsight is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of electrical/telecom systems for large/complex construction projects.
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and analyze industry software and adapt to rapidly changing field conditions.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction means and methods.
- Ability to educate project team on software and workflows utilized throughout the construction process.
