Vice President, Commercial Mid Market Merchant Commercialization
About your role:
The Vice President of Commercial Mid Market Merchant Commercialization will lead the development of go-to-market product and channel distribution strategies specifically aimed at upper and lower mid-market merchants with annual processing volumes between $2.5M and $100M. This role demands a change agent who can drive growth in the segment through innovative thinking and strategic planning. This is an opportunity for someone to drive significant value into the merchant solutions business at Fiserv; our current channel is working with Financial Institutions (FIs) and the Treasury leaders who have relationships with mid-market merchants in their communities. The candidate will also be responsible for driving change into the sales, segment operations, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you'll do:
Strategy Development: Define and implement product and channel distribution strategies tailored to the mid-market segment.
Lead Channel Creation: Identify and establish new lead channels and partnerships to enhance market reach.
Market Fit Assessment: Ensure a clear understanding of product-market fit and effectively communicate the product roadmap.
Account Management & Sales: Oversee the account management and sales function, ensuring optimum performance and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of approximately 50-60 sales and account leaders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Growth Acceleration: Act as a change agent to accelerate segment growth through actionable insights and detailed execution plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operational teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategies.
Process Improvement: Drive improvements in sales processes and segment operations to increase productivity and streamline workflows.
Experience you'll need to have:
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a commercial mid-market environment.
Strong understanding of merchant services and payment processing industry.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire large teams.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to dive into details while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
