The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in either Seattle, WA or Renton, WA.
Home of the 737 MAX! The Puget Sound sites lead the industry as the most efficient airplane factory in the world. More than 14,500 commercial airplanes (707, 727, 737, and 757) or about 30 percent of the worldwide fleet flying today were built in Renton. According to Guinness World Records, the 737 is the “most produced large commercial jet” in aviation history. Covering 1.1 million square feet of factory space, the 737 programs has rolled out over 10,600 of the jets since the program began in 1967. More than 7,000 Next-Generation 737 airplanes were produced in Renton from 1997 to 2019. In 2015, the factory began producing the 737 MAX family of airplanes. The P-8, a Navy submarine hunter and maritime patrol aircraft, and a military derivative of the 737-800, is also built at Renton. This position would support first shift operations in factory operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes
Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance
Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment
1+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
1+ years of experience assessing and evaluating risk
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
Experience with addressing occupational health and safety hazards related to aircraft flight and ground operations
Experience with aircraft systems
Experience with aircraft hazardous energy control programs
Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $80,750 – $109,250
