Future airplane cabin is going to get smart using IoT and smart home technology. This means it will be aware of the actual status and health of cabin interior and monuments. To validate the functionality of smart Cabins and raise the research possibilities to a whole new level, the Research and Rapid Development department built a Cabin simulator/demonstrator.
For the Intelligent Cabin team, we're seeking a Working Student (f/m/d) to assist us in continuously improving the demonstrator. This would require affinity with IoT, Microcontrollers and also 3D printing. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, located in Neu-Isenburg, Germany and connected with stakeholders worldwide.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor/Master/PhD degree program in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Business or a related technical field
Commitment to working 20 hours a week (more during semester break)
Fluent in English both written and verbal
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work well within an international team and to be proactive in shaping ideas and sharing results
Flexibility and adaptability to handle new and unfamiliar topics
Rights to work in Germany
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
German is not required but beneficial
Past internship or work experience related to this position considered is a plus
International exposure from your studies and/or work experience beneficial
Ability to work in a fast paced international team environment combined with strong verbal, written and social skills
Experience in programming, especially microcontrollers and single-board computers
Experience in 3D printing, rapid prototyping and soldering
Experience in simulation and data visualization
