This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Maintenance Mechanic to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing problems, and repairing HVAC systems, plumbing, and performing minor carpentry tasks within the customer's facility.
- This includes maintaining equipment to industry standards and performing preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.
- You may be required to run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and to place, mount, or remove equipment.
- You will perform minor carpentry repairs on floors, doors, and furniture.
Qualifications
Required:
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request
- 5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience.
- Must be a US Citizen
- High School Diploma or GED
Required experience includes:
- Experience in plumbing, HVAC, and light electrical work and repair.
- Experience in light carpentry.
- Demonstrated experience with building systems and operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and Life Safety Systems
- Ability to operate forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete general maintenance tasks
Basic Compensation:
$43,400 - $65,100
This range is for the Maryland area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
