What does a successful Billing Product Manager do at Fiserv?
Join Clover’s high-impact Billing team as a Product Manager and help shape the future of how merchants are billed across our global platform. As the Billing Product Manager on the Clover Billing team, you will work closely with business owners, sales channels, and developers to identify pain points and deliver the most satisfying and high-quality subscription and usage-based billing solutions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for creating new billing experiences and enhancements for Clover merchants and App Market developers for software as a service (SaaS), App Market billing, and cellular billing for network services. You will engage closely with merchants across multiple verticals and countries to ensure their specific needs are considered, while always being aware of risks and edge cases. You will drive the end-to-end management for each effort and be responsible for communicating progress and key milestones to various stakeholders, including external partners, and managing the release process for distribution to all of Clover’s global partners.
What you will do:
- Create meaningful billing experiences by working closely with design and engineering to simplify how Clover merchants are billed and developers are paid, whether it’s SaaS, App Market fees, or future offerings we haven’t dreamed up yet.
- Lead platform innovation by helping us migrate from legacy systems to a scalable, event-based billing platform that supports flexible pricing, promotions, trial periods, and global expansion.
- Shape the future of SaaS at Clover by defining and delivering new billing tiers, vertical-specific solutions, and device-based pricing that better serve small businesses across industries.
- Collaborate on settlement systems with internal Fiserv teams to roll out and optimize direct debit, net settlement, credit card, and retail payment solutions, ensuring compliance with regional regulations like NACHA and SEPA.
- Drive Products and Clover’s biggest initiatives by acting as the billing lead on cross-functional teams launching new devices, software solutions, and App Market features—your work will be at the heart of every major Clover rollout.
- Monitor and improve billing operations by partnering with support teams to build dashboards, track key metrics like recovery and failure rates, and lead issue resolution efforts when things don’t go as planned.
- Own feature launches end-to-end—from defining user needs and writing requirements to managing backlog, reviewing with engineering, coordinating releases, and communicating updates to support and sales channels.
- Use data to make decisions by working with research and analytics teams to uncover user insights, validate problems, and continuously improve our products for merchants and developers around the world.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education, and military.
- 4+ years of Product Management experience.
- Proven success leading complex projects across global teams, with experience collaborating across product, engineering, design, and content in North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
- Strong communicator and storyteller who’s confident presenting to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Skilled at turning ambiguity into clear, actionable user stories and product requirements, especially in fast-moving, dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions, validate assumptions, and optimize product experiences.
- Proven track record of using data to influence requirements, design, and implementation.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously.
What would be great to have:
- Ability to generate data, analyze, and form business decisions through SQL queries.
- Experience in Billing Product Management, with a preference for B2B software as a service (SaaS) and App Market billing experience.
- Hands-on experience with retail and wholesale billing processes and platforms.
- Experience with ACH, NACHA, and SEPA compliance.
- Product commercialization strategies experience.
