This senior technology leader will drive the execution and evolution of the technology operations function for our enterprise data platforms and assets. This role oversees a dynamic portfolio of data platforms and solutions, including data movement and storage systems, business intelligence and reporting tools, master and reference data solutions and other shared data assets. You'll lead a hybrid environment that spans both cloud and on-premises technologies, ensuring our data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
In this role, you will:- Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
- Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
- Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
- Provide a consistent operating model across all the on-prem and cloud platforms
- Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
- Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
- Automate all the repeatable tasks across all the on-prem and cloud platforms
- Proactively build and promote adoption of the Enterprise Pipeline including automated testing and CI/CD
- Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
- Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
- Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
- Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Key Responsibilities include:- Production support for data technology applications, assets and tools/platforms, including vulnerability management, minor development efforts (bug-fix), process monitoring
- Infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and upgrades
- Incident management, including process design and optimization, incident triage, stakeholder communications, root-cause analysis, and implementation of preventative solutions
- Release management planning and execution, including validation of key controls and minimum architecture requirements
- Test environment management, including the responsibilities above as applicable, code promotions and data preparation
Required Qualifications:- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- 5+ years of technology delivery or support
Desired Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry
- 5+ years of direct experience with data tools and platforms
- 3+ years of experience with management of cloud platforms
- Familiarity with DevOps and DataOps practices
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, or relevant data platforms
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data lifecycle management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience; verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage numerous, competing demands from internal and external stakeholders
- Ownership mentality with an ability to design and drive successful execution of priorities
- Ability to manage in a matrixed organization environment
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to positively influence, motivate, and direct teams
Job Expectations:- Up to 25% travel
- Weekend and night hours, in support of incident or release mgmt. activities

$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
