Johnson Controls is seeking a Global Product Manager to lead the charge in revolutionizing field devices—the sensors, actuators, and controllers that are the beating heart of HVAC and building automation systems. This position is based in Glendale, WI. Candidates must be commuting distance, or able/willing to relocate. The Global Product Manager will interface between market needs and engineering execution, will define and drive the product roadmap for a portfolio of intelligent, networked field devices—including sensors, actuators, and controllers—used in HVAC and building automation systems. You will leverage deep domain knowledge and customer insights, and lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from requirements definition through design validation and commercial launch. Your work will enable the deployment of scalable, energy-efficient, and standards-compliant solutions that enhance building performance, occupant comfort, and operational intelligence. Responsibilities include owning the product vision and P&L, defining and executing product strategy, leading new product development in partnership with engineering, UX, and manufacturing, driving market success through research and competitive analysis, managing the full product lifecycle, and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and support teams. The role also involves deployment to rationalize SKU proliferation to drive lean manufacturing. Required qualifications include a BS in Engineering, Business or Marketing, 5+ years in Product Management ideally in HVAC or industrial automation, and experience with agile development, product roadmaps, and cross-functional leadership. Preferred qualifications include an MBA and HVAC or industrial automation industry experience.
