Program Summary
KBR is seeking a Site Lead SATCOM/Systems Maintainer/Integrator to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will support the ongoing HADES program at our Cygnet Heights office in Colorado Springs.
Job Summary
The Site Lead/SATCOM Systems Maintainer/Integrator is responsible for preparation, developing, and implementing hardware and software-based systems support to integration, and development tests. The Site Lead/System Analyst/Integrator will support development, prototyping and demonstration at various CONUS and OCONUS sites. Will provide input and support to provide briefings on the status of events or portions of the overall program.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Lead small teams to provide on-site Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on SATCOM systems.
· Manage, mentor, and grow small teams for career growth and development
· This position prepares documentation to substantiate the integration of all aspects of the project.
· Relay technical and resource information to Operations Lead and Technical Lead as needed.
· Perform Project Leader duties for maintenance activities or system upgrades.
· Receive input from subordinates and other activities within the program and from government sponsors to ensure successful integration of components and products.
· Support development, prototyping and demonstration of various sites and travels and provides briefings on the status of events or portions of the overall program.
· Perform and lead routine, non-routine, and complex maintenance on the following sub-systems: communications, networking, antenna, power, timing, signal distribution, trucks, trailers, environmental control, and support equipment.
· Apply advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex SATCOM problems.
· Use a wide range of test instruments and equipment to restore systems or improve performance.
· Be able to remotely or in person support SATCOM systems for training and operational exercises in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
· Implement and ensure adherence to operations, maintenance and organizational procedures and policies.
· Author, review, edit, and recommend changes to technical, procedural, and training documentation.
· Lead and enforce workplace and personnel safety by identifying risks, mitigating risks and intervenes to prevent mishaps.
· Oversees the completion of projects including planning; assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED with 18 years' experience OR a bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ experience, OR a master’s degree with 6 years' experience.
· Possess and maintain an active Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance
· Active Security+ Certification
· Must possess an active driver’s license and United States Passport
Preferred Qualifications
· 12+ years of experience integrating satellite communication equipment and software
· 4+ years experience operating, maintaining, and/or deploying with Mobile SATCOM Systems
· Knowledge of space military applications, and a working knowledge of military and ground operations is required.
· Experience operating or maintaining Electronic or Electromagnetic Warfare systems
· Experience with multi-frequency band (C, Ku, Ka, and X Bands) satellite terminals
· Computer system/ Experience with system and/or subsystem integration
· network administration or maintenance experience
· Systems Engineering and Linux experience preferred
· Experience working independently and leading small teams in an integrated team-oriented, collaborative environment with prototype satellite communication systems
· Requires an understanding of both theories and principles of electrical, mechanical, RF and software systems.
· Advanced trouble shooting skills for RF and computer network systems
· Ability to lead and function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
· Managing small teams
· SATCOM or Wireless/RF Communication Systems experience
· Experience with system and/or subsystem integration
· Network Plus Certification, Security Plus Certification and/or Windows & Linux experience
Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000
The salary range posted is for Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
