We are seeking a strategic and creative Email and SMS Channel Specialist to lead the development and execution of our email and SMS marketing initiatives. This role is critical in driving client conversion, retention, and revenue growth through targeted and engaging communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing campaigns for both our enterprise brand and our Financial Advisors, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory standards.
This role will be responsible for creating and managing both one-time campaigns and automated, triggered journeys that support the client lifecycle. The Email and SMS Channel Specialist will also maintain and optimize evergreen content to ensure consistent brand messaging and performance over time. This includes developing content strategies, managing segmentation, and ensuring timely delivery of communications that resonate with target audiences. This role plays a key role in enhancing brand visibility, deepening customer engagement, and driving measurable business outcomes.
What will the employee do in this role?
·Develop and execute comprehensive email and SMS marketing strategies to support business objectives.
·Work with internal teams and agencies to create, curate, and manage compelling content tailored to various audience segments.
·Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align messaging with brand voice and compliance requirements.
·Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
·Manage campaign calendars, ensuring timely execution and coordination across departments.
·Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in email and SMS marketing.
·Ensure all communications comply with relevant regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA, FINRA, etc.).
·Conduct regular audits of projects to ensure processes being followed and identifying areas for opportunity.
What skills & experience do you need?
Education
·Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience/training
Work Experience
·3+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing, preferably in a regulated industry
·Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot)
·Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization and A/B testing
·Project management experience in situations where deadlines had to be met
·Experience within the Financial Services or regulated industry is preferred
·Military experience is a plus
