What does a successful Fiserv Senior Sales Executive do?
A Senior Sales Executive focuses on driving efforts to expand and elevate Fiserv's market share and presence in the financial services industry. In this role, you will be assigned to sell our Finxact core account processing product within the Financial Institutions Group. This role involves leading value-driven solution sales activities with both existing and prospective clients. Success in this position directly contributes to Fiserv's growth and reputation as a leader in the industry.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed corporate sales goals for the Finxact core banking solution.
- Identify and cultivate potential customers through proactive outreach internally at Fiserv and externally through calls, visits, and industry events.
- Maintain strong industry and product knowledge to effectively understand client needs, providing tailored solutions that enhance their banking operations.
- Manage a sales territory independently, collaborating closely with Sales Management to ensure alignment with Finxact's objectives and to navigate sales cycles effectively.
- Facilitate the proposal process for target clients, engaging with sales support, the business unit, and marketing teams to create impactful presentations.
- Educate prospective clients about Finxact’s product offerings, emphasizing the innovation and agility of its real time, cloud-native, open banking platform.
- Participate in continuous self-improvement and professional development activities.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree, advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in selling software solutions to financial institutions, with demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets.
- Deep understanding of the banking sector, particularly in digital transformation and technological adoption trends.
- Technical proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SalesForce, Collaboration tools, and emerging AI tools.
- Proven ability to resolve problems and make strategic decisions to drive sales engagements forward.
- Robust human relations skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities and comfort in group presentations.
- Skilled in negotiation and sales techniques, with a proven track record of closing strategic deals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-up on all activities.
- Positive attitude, independent motivation, and resilience under pressure.
- Ability to travel at least 40%
