What does a successful Senior Manager, Government Sales do at Fiserv?
As a Senior Manager, Government Sales (RM/AE), you will be managing sales rep that seek out, develop, and sell Fiserv payment and eCommerce products and services and/or consulting services to public sector state and county agencies in the Eastern USA. The role manages RMs who hold portfolios for Fiserv enterprise portfolio of payment processing solutions to and from the government. To be successful in this role, you will be required to have an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, goals, strategies and industry trends and directions as well as Fiserv solutions that address their requirements.
What you will do:
- Provide strategic and consultative management to new clients in our government solutions vertical.
- Prospect and close new Government accounts within an assigned geography, owning the sales representative role in RFPs through to contract signatures.
- Build a territory plan, evaluate, and revise as required to maximize business opportunities.
- Build business cases and deliver client proposals with solutions, financial justifications and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue and margin.
What you will need to have:
- 7+ years of experience in sales and/or relationship management functions
- Government and Public Sector sales, “C-Level” (CEO, CFO, COO) sales experience with a focus on solutions selling, and the ability to build and sustain relationships at a senior level, gaining client trusted advisor status
- Experience w/ eCRM tools, tracking and reporting pipeline, and achieving sales targets
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
