The Production Supervisor is accountable for directing the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in the assembly/fabrication of sub-assemblies, parts, or units within an assigned area while upholding a strong commitment to production goals, efficiency, quality, and safety standards. Responsibilities include facilitating and directing team members’ workflow, distributing work, disseminating information, assigning team members for absences, answering questions, resolving problems, controlling costs by minimizing scrap and rework, anticipating and reacting to production problems or delays, providing technical assistance for equipment malfunctions, collaborating with engineering for improvements, supervising, evaluating, and training the workgroup, assisting in accident investigation and corrective action, promoting a safe work environment, maintaining accurate production and employee records, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies, and applying LEAN tools to enhance department's Key Business Drivers. Required qualifications include a university degree with minimum experience or equivalent combination, experience as a Production Supervisor in manufacturing, and proficiency in MS Office Suite. Preferred qualifications include Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
