What does a successful Software Development Engineer in Test do?
As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Fiserv, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale testing capabilities through automation and leveraging non-test resources. You will ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies.
What you will do:
- Execute detailed quality assurance testing for complex software products.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Identify, report, and track software defects to resolution.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to improve quality practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team.
- Deliver quality software components by developing robust regression tests.
- Minimize regression issues through system-level (end-to-end) tests.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in software and/or test development.
- 6+ years of experience in the fintech sector, including loan servicing, deposit operations, card processing, and/or interface development.
- 6+ years of experience with Java, AI, JavaScript, JSON, RESTful APIs, and Postman.
- 6+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Engineering and/or Computer Science) and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- 6+ years of experience in developing and/or testing SaaS applications.
- 6+ years of experience with HTTP API routing frameworks/web services.
- 6+ years of experience with monitoring tools like Datadog and Swagger.
- Certification in software testing methodologies.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
