Position Description
·The Maintenance Technician Apprentice Program combines both academic studies and on-the-job training to develop the fundamentals required to become a skilled Maintenance Technician with Trane Technologies.
·Specific program details will be available during the interview process.
Essential Job Functions
- Safely perform troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of production machinery
- Effectively follow procedures to execute preventative and predictive maintenance
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment
·Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of machinery and equipment.
·Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
·Learn to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
·Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
·Participate in preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
·Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment and machinery.
·Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
·Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
·Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
Education, Experience & Skills
·High school diploma or equivalent.
·Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
·Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
·Ability to work well in a team environment.
·Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
·Familiarity with hand and power tools.
·Basic knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
Physical Requirements
·Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.Mobility within the work facility.
- Ability to stand / walk 8 – 10 +Hours
- Ability to bend, lift, reach and turn throughout the shift
