Job Summary
The Chief Data and AI Officer (CDAO) is a Sr Vice President at Comcast and is responsible for overseeing the organization's data strategy, governance, and operations, as well the company’s AI technology center of excellence. This senior level executive is deeply involved in developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and security, and driving the strategic use of data to enable AI across the enterprise. The CDAO will lead the data platform technology strategy, manage data privacy operations, and oversee the design and maintenance of data warehouses and data lakes.

Data Platform Technology Strategy and Architecture
Data Governance and Privacy
Data Platform Engineering and Operations
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouse and data lake infrastructure.
- Lead the data platform engineering team in building scalable and reliable data platforms.
- Optimize data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement effective data integration strategies.
- Evaluate and integrate AI-driven data processing and analytics tools to enhance data accessibility, quality, and decision-making across the enterprise.
AI Techology Strategy & Enablement
- Lead the company’s AI Center of Excellence function that is responsible for AI guidance, AI solutions and AI capabilities.
- Guide the use of AI with strategy, governance, research, and AI education – ensuring we move in the right direction, safely, securely, and responsibly.
- Develop AI solutions to challenging business problems by forming cross-functional teams with applied AI expertise.
- Develop AI capabilities that accelerate our AI journey with cutting-edge tools, scalable infrastructure, and AI/MLOps that enable speed and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience leading AI/ML teams with a deep understanding of AI/ML technology.
- Proven experience leading teams responsible for data platforms, data governance, and data security, preferably as a Chief Data Officer or similar.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and data security best practices.
- Experience with data platform technologies, data warehousing, and data lake infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A natural change agent. Combines emotional intelligence with interpersonal skills to establish trust and lead change.
