Role Definition
Works closely with product, financial and industry teams to guide the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies that align with product and enterprise goals for revenue and profitability, with a high level of direct involvement with senior leaders and a strong level of independence.
Responsibilities
Develop financial models for distributed energy assets in various electric markets.
Develop advanced strategic pricing options for each distributed energy asset project with a focus on risk allocation between applicable parties (off taker, financial investor, vendors, etc.).
Develop investment memoranda for distributed energy assets describing project details, economics and risks.
Analyze, interpret and communicate a wide variety of data (economic and competitive environment, revenue and profitability, and electric market prices and trends) to draw business insights and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability.
Provide thought leadership to key stakeholders in the development of pricing strategies and deal structures for distributed energy assets.
Analyze, interpret and communicate business risk in applicable distributed energy resources deal documentation.
Skill Descriptors
Deal Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align all parties (off taker, investor, vendors, regulatory bodies, etc.) interest in a distrusted energy asset project with an ability to leverage that information into a successfully structured distributed energy asset project.

Communicate the importance of customer and project investor needs / expectations and commits to resolving them.
Researches and verifies customer and project investor needs and expectations.
Helps link organizational objectives to customer and project investor needs and expectations.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Level Extensive Experience:
Participates with team in advanced data gathering and analysis methodologies and technologies, specifically related to electricity and natural gas markets.
Document sources and validate the accuracy of data.
Implement procedures and policies within a data processing function, specifically related to how market information is included in DER financial models.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
