What does a successful Sr. Development Engineer do?
As a Sr. Development Engineer at Fiserv, you play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding developers within your team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will leverage your technical expertise to lead agile teams, participate in product design discussions, and ensure a seamless software lifecycle process. Your contributions help Fiserv provide top-notch financial services technology that empowers our clients to meet their customers' needs with ease and efficiency.
What you will do:
- Provide training to new associates joining the team
- Lead and support developers on technical and architectural design decisions in agile teams
- Collaborate with developers throughout the entire software lifecycle, from design and development to testing and production
- Assist developers in building out CERT and PROD environments for client testing
- Configure online banking applications using Java code based on client specifications
- Assist developers in branding online banking applications based on client-provided colors, fonts, and logos
- Develop data scripts to aid in the migration of legacy data
- Support clients during SIT and UAT testing phases
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent military experience
- 6+ years of experience in Java development
- 6+ years of experience in configuring online banking applications
- 6+ years of experience in assisting with data migration
- 6+ years of experience in leading and mentoring developers
What would be great to have:
- 7+ years of experience in agile methodologies
- 6+ years of experience in working with third-party vendors, including Apple and Google
- 6+ years of experience in generating data scripts
- 8+ years of experience in supporting SIT and UAT testing phases
- Relevant certifications in Java and Agile methodologies
