RIU AnalystImprove Army Weapon systems through performance analysis!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position supports Radar Interface Unit (RIU) integration within the overall Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) system. The analyst evaluates RIU Performance data from Live Firings, Ground Testing, and Simulation. This requires knowledge of Radar signal and data processing methods and sensor integration into an IAMD system. System interface analysis will also be required. The analyst develops Test Plans, participates in testing, writes Test Incident Reports (TIRs), and reviews TIR responses. The analyst is responsible for reviewing and monitoring Software/Interface changes to RIU and IAMD system. The analyst will become proficient in data reduction software with a wide variety of output files from both the tactical system and simulation, the specific variables within the files, and how to apply them to determine Radar performance within the IAMD system. 5% - 10% Travel is required. This is a fully funded, full-time position. Primary effort is team-focused and conducted in a KBR corporate classified laboratory environment located at 6200 Redstone Gateway SW, in Huntsville, AL, just outside Redstone Arsenal Gate 9. Candidate must be a resident of the Northern Alabama area or be able to relocate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess an undergraduate degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or other STEM related fields (Physics, Mathematics, etc.)
- 0 – 4 years of experience in related field
- Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Radar-related Signal Processing Experience or Coursework
- Experience analyzing interfaces within a System of Systems (SoS)
- Experience in Air & Missile Defense Weapon Systems, Flight Tests/Ground System Tests, Data Analysis
- Understanding of MATLAB, C/C++, Python, SQL, Visual Basic (VB), C#, or any other high-level programming language
- Ability to brief audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
