We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in supporting quantitative clients, combined with deep expertise in project management, technology, and market structure. This role is critical to the success of QED's daily operations and long-term strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating complex technical environments, managing cross-functional projects, and delivering impactful solutions that align with both immediate business needs and broader organizational goals.
In this role, you will:- Lead complex initiatives to resolve algorithmic trading using high-frequency trading technology with broad impact
- Act as key participant in developing, implementing, and monitoring risk based programs to recommend decisions to buy or sell financial securities on an exchange for Securities Algorithmic Trading
- Review and analyze complex formulas, combined with mathematical models and human oversight that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including the use of process and rules based algorithms to employ strategies for executing trades
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Securities Algorithmic Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Proven experience supporting quantitative trading clients
- Strong background in project management, trading technology, and market structure
- Ability to lead complex, high-impact initiatives in algorithmic and high-frequency trading
- Deep understanding of risk-based trading programs and regulatory compliance
- Skilled in decision-making within complex, fast-paced environments
Job Expectations:- Ability to work outside of regular business hours
- Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
