What you will do:
The Manager of PMO is responsible for the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring governance, execution frameworks, and best practices for high-impact project delivery, with underlying duties of:
Project & Program Governance
- Implement and maintain project governance frameworks to ensure consistent execution.
- Define and enforce best practices, methodologies, and tools (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Provide reporting and analytics to track execution performance.
Execution Oversight
- Ensure on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery of all projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively across strategic initiatives.
- Improve execution methodologies to drive efficiency and accountability.
Process Standardization & Optimization
- Develop standardized project intake, approval, and execution workflows.
- Continuously refine execution processes to align with business needs.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration between teams for seamless execution.
Resource & Capacity Planning (Execution Level)
- Work closely with business leaders to ensure project resources are effectively allocated.
- Manage project staffing plans to align with strategic priorities.
- Forecast project workloads and recommend adjustments based on capacity.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Deliver real-time dashboards and insights on project health, risks, and OKRs.
- Provide executive leadership with clear visibility into execution progress.
- Conduct post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Success Metrics:
- Project success rates increase with improved governance.
- Resource utilization aligns with business priorities.
- Risks are proactively managed, reducing execution delays.
- Standardized execution methodologies improve efficiency
What you will need to have:
Education & Professional Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus
- Agile and/or Scrum certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong background in managing complex cross-functional projects, ideally in [industry/sector] (e.g., fintech, software, healthcare).
- Experience in establishing and refining project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing project managers, teams, and stakeholders.
