About your role:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications within digital payments. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with the most recent 3+ years in Java programming.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL databases.
- 3+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience in the financial services industry.

- The role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
